Farewell Sir Prodeep Saha
Sir Prodeep Saha, one of the senior most and longest serving teachers of the school was given a grand farewell on 20th February, 2018. Sir Saha had retired from service on 1st February after he served the school for 35 years. The staff and students of the school thanked him sincerely for his long and dedicated service. Representatives from the staff and students recalled his qualities as a teacher. He taught with his knowledge and with his life, they proudly pointed out.
On behalf of the management, the staff and students Fr. Albert Thyrniang, the principal expressed his gratitude to the departing teacher and wished him a productive retired life. Recalling his illustrious career he said that Sir P Saha, as he was affectionately called, was a religious person, an effective teacher, a team man, a person of integrity and a great support to the school management.
Gracefully acknowledging the gratitude shown to him, Sir P Saha was visibly moved. He said that the fact that he would no more be coming to the school saddened him. The reality was just sinking in and he has to accept it as part of life, he said while holding back tears. He briefly narrated his long association with the school, especially in the initial years of the early 80s. He was leaving a proud teacher who did his best in the job, he concluded.
To show their love and gratitude to the beloved teacher, the students performed well choreographed dances and melodious songs designed for the occasion. The staff and students presented him gifts and flowers. The school management presented him with a citation and a memento as a souvenir for his committed service to the institution.
